1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FictionEngine, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use FictionEngine. Notify us immediately at support@fictionengine.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use FictionEngine only for lawful purposes. You may not use the platform to generate or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
4. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all content you create using FictionEngine — stories, books, covers, and any other works generated through the platform are yours. By using the service you grant FictionEngine a limited license to store and display your content solely to operate the platform. We do not claim any rights to your creative work.
5. Subscription & Payment
Token purchases are non-refundable once tokens have been consumed. Desktop software licenses are non-refundable after the license key has been activated. If you have a billing dispute, contact us within 30 days of the charge. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases; however, content you have exported remains yours.
7. Limitation of Liability
FictionEngine is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
